Ecolane’s product is based on a Java core, an Android application and Ruby on Rails modules and user interfaces. Our product is a large evolving platform used by dozens of customers in the U.S. The continuous product development and platform improvements require more resources for our rapidly growing business.
What This Job Will Entail
You will be joining a team of talented and enthusiastic people, where each person takes both pride in and responsibility for making our product even better. You are willing to solve tricky problems on your own but have no fear of communicating with others or questioning the existing solutions.
- Implementing new features in Ecolane RoR products
- Implementing REST APIs
- Implementing new features to the core product
- Writing specifications
- Fixing bugs
The Skills We Are Looking For:
- Excellent problem solving skills
- An understanding of the fundamental design principles behind a scalable application
- A solid understanding of object-oriented programming
- Java skills, with a good knowledge of its ecosystems
- An excellent knowledge of relational databases, SQL, and ORM technologies
- A proficient knowledge and understanding of Ruby
- Awareness of Rails patterns and anti-patterns
- A basic understanding of usability and accessibility
- Practical experience of utilizing and implementing back-end REST APIs
- Good communication skills in English
